Lifetime’s College Admissions Scandal Trailer Drops – Are Lori Loughlin And Felicity Huffman Featured In TV Movie?

Lifetime has dropped the first trailer for its TV movie The College Admission Scandal.

The network is known for tackling hot topics in their original films, and the college admissions drama is no exception. It has only been months since Felicity Huffman, Lori Loughlin and almost 50 other wealthy parents were brought up on federal charges for buying their kid’s way into college.

Lifetime wasted no time creating their own fictional account based on all the high-profile drama. Although the movie does not specifically name Huffman or Loughlin, there are parallels between the flick and the real-life scandal.

Penelope Ann Miller, from Riverdale and Mia Kirshner, from The L Word star in the made for TV movie. It is about two super wealthy moms that will do anything to get their kids into college. There is no question it is based on Loughlin and Huffman’s current drama.

Not only do the two main characters look similar to the real-life Hollywood stars, but the two cases in the flick are pretty much the same as the actresses. Watching the trailer will give a person chills thanks to the real-life parallels.

Miller’s story appears to be inspired by Huffman’s as her character pays money to have her child’s SAT score changed. Kirshner’s story seems to be inspirited by Loughlin as her character alters photos, so it looks like her child was on the soccer team.

The College Admissions Scandal trailer makes sure to cover their basis by stating the film was “inspired by true events.” It is labeled a ripped from the headlines feature to ensure Lifetime does not face any legal backlash.

Even though the film is headlined by Miller and Kirshner, who are primarily featured in the trailer, Lifetime shared the movie is about the entire scandal. The network describes it as “a fictionalized account of the scandal, will follow the story of over 50 wealthy and elite families who tried to cheat the college admissions system.”

Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman are not featured in the TV movie. The two ladies are part of the inspiration for The College Admissions Scandal flick, which debuts on October 12th.

At that point, Huffman will be sentenced for her involvement, so it will be interesting to see if that is featured in the movie or not. Loughlin has a long road of fighting ahead of her since she and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, did not take the same plea deal as Huffman.

Will you be watching the Lifetime money based on Operation Varsity Blues?
