Ever since it was announced that Robert Pattinson is the new Batman, fans have been giving him all kinds of nicknames and it turns out that the actor is yet to warm up to them. Here’s how Pattinson reacted to the playful name-calling.
While in attendance at the Toronto International Film Festival, Pattinson chatted with ET, telling the news outlet what he thinks of nicknames such as R-Batz or Battinson.
Asked which one out of the two he prefers, the star said: ‘I don’t know … I’m trying to avoid… avoiding nicknames.’
Aside from that, Rob also talked about his new role as Robert Eggers in the horror flick The Lighthouse, since he was at the event to promote the project in the first place.
One fun thing about the production and also a personal struggle of his was related to the character’s dark mustache.
‘The only thing about the ‘stache is I had to keep dying it all the time because my mustache is very blonde, so it kinda looks like…like I’m a 12-year-old with a hormone problem,’ Rob said laughing.
Of course, that was definitely just a joke since the ‘stache dyeing was the least of his concerns.
More challenging were the movie’s extreme conditions, including a lot of cold water as well as having to film on location, in Nova Scotia!
Still, proving that he is a true professional, Pattinson mentioned that he rather liked the elements since they helped him further immerse himself in the story.
‘The conditions are nice though. It’s nice when something feels real [while filming].’
The Lighthouse premieres in theaters everywhere on October 18! Are you looking forward to watching it or not?
