What diet is Jennifer Aniston on?

Jennifer Aniston has been one of Hollywood’s great beauties for well over two decades, and at the age of 50, she’s putting in a lot of work in the kitchen to stay that way.
For breakfast? “When I wake up, I have warm lemon water and then I have a shake or avocado and eggs, which is one of my favorites,” the actress told Elle in 2016. Sometimes she mixes it up with “puffed millet cereal with a banana” or “oatmeal with an egg white whipped in at the end” — a trick she learned from then-husband Justin Theroux for some “extra protein.” Her snack includes “maybe an apple and almond butter.”
For lunch, it’s all about protein and vegetables. Aniston told Harper’s Bazaar in 2016 that lunch usually consists of “a salad with protein” or “a chicken burger wrapped in lettuce.” So what’s for dinner? Aniston says it’s “probably the same.” Aniston might be single-handedly keeping the lettuce industry alive. Respect.
As far as her kitchen staples, Aniston told Yahoo! in 2016 her refrigerator is stocked with Tupperware containers of hard-boiled eggs, “a big head of butter lettuce,” and a protein like “pulled chicken.” Her go-to quick meal is pasta carbonara that she makes with eggs, turkey bacon, and parmesan. The trick to keep it healthy? “No oil, butter or creams,” she explains, noting that she uses “pasta water to make it juicier.” That’s right, you should never drain your pasta directly into the sink, so you can save that starchy goodness for later.
And if you happen to be a guest in her home, expect to be served a heaping portion of “vegetable lasagna” or make your own pizza.
But regardless of what specific food she eats during a given day, the Friends star’s approach to her diet is pretty simple. “I don’t let eating habits get out of control where I need a reset button,” she explained to Yahoo! in 2016. “My general philosophy is to eat healthy. It’s pretty clear: eat as much organic fruits and veggies as you can, keep sugar [intake] low, drink tons and tons of water, and get good sleep.”
